BCPNP Announces 2025 Changes: Focus on Healthcare & High-Impact Talent Amid Reduced Quota
On April 14, 2025, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) revealed key updates for the year ahead. With a reduced allocation of 4,000 nominations, the province is shifting focus to sectors with critical demand and economic value.
Priority will be given to:
- Healthcare professionals
- Entrepreneurs driving innovation and growth
- Skilled workers with strong economic impact
Currently, over 5,200 applications are in the queue. Of the 4,000 available nominations:
- ~1,100 spots will be open for eligible health authority employees and high impact newcomers
- ~2,900 spaces are reserved to process existing applications
The BCPNP is expected to resume targeted invitations in May 2025.
