Modernizing the immigration system at the end of January 2022

After the announcement of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship of Canada (IRCC) about modernizing the immigration system at the end of January 2022. 

The Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship has announced on February 8, 2022, that the department of IRCC has started to apply the new immigration system by releasing a new digital case status tracker that will make it easier for some family class permanent residence applicants, sponsors, and their representatives to check their application status online.

This tool will help clients keep track of their application and any actions required to keep it moving as quickly and smoothly as possible. 

It also allows them to have access to the same information they would get if they contacted IRCC.
